According to a video posted on the European Commission's website, Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán was greeted with whistles and boos in Prague, where EU leaders have gathered to discuss the continent's most pressing issues.
Protesters greeted the participants with signs saying "No to vetoes!" and shouts of "We want a strong Union!" and there was little enthusiasm for the Hungarian prime minister.
According to Rtl.hu, almost all the leaders made statements to the press, but Viktor Orbán refused to talk to journalists.
At the Prague summit, EU leaders mainly discussed the continent's energy supply and energy security. On Thursday, the meeting was attended by EU leaders and several European leaders, including President Erdoğan of Turkey. Only Russia and Belarus were not invited.
On Wednesday, the EU adopted the eighth package of sanctions against Russia, which Hungary also voted for – even though it had previously vetoed some of the earlier packages.
